Advantagenet

Favorites or Bookmarked links: If prior to the upgrade you saved Advantage in your "Favorites" or "Bookmarked" links, you will receive an error because the old link is no longer available. To get to the new Advantagenet visit www.1stadvantage.org and click on the Advantagenet logo in the upper right corner, this will route you to the correct link. Once you have opened the new link, you can add that back to your "favorites" or "bookmarked" links.

System Unavailable Error: When logging in for the first time: Some members have had issues and they are receiving a message stating that the System is Unavailable please follow these instructions.

  • While your Internet Explorer is open go to the Tools tab (located at the top of the page)
  • Select Internet Options
  • Select Delete Cookies (located under General tab)
  • Select Delete Files (located under Internet tab)
  • Select OK (located at the bottom of window)
  • Close out all Internet windows
  • Open Internet window and log into Advantagenet with your Account number and assigned password. You will be prompted to change your password, the below are required.

If you continue to have issues please Contact Us and we will further assist you.

Password Requirements: 1st Advantage is required by the NCUA to help our members protect sensitive information and we are doing this by making the requirements for our Advantagenet passwords more complex. We now require the following configuration to ensure a secure password has been established:

  • Minimum length 8
  • Maximum length 16
  • Cannot equal or contain your user id
  • Must contain both alpha and numerics
  • Must contain both upper and lower case
  • You may also scroll your mouse over the ? and the configuration will appear.

Email Address Requirement: Our members are now required to provide us with an email address so that we can efficiently keep our members informed. If you do not have an email address we suggest Google, Yahoo, or Hotmail. These email providers are free and easy to use.

Display Size: We recommend that the viewing size for our site be set at: 1024 x 768.

Printing Account Information: Several members have encountered printing issues in the new system and members can either print their information in Landscape or highlight the information they want to print and Print the selection as apposed to printing the entire Internet page.

Internet Explorer 8.0: Our new home banking is not compatible with version 8.0 of internet explorer. If the member is using this version please tell them to download Firefox at www.firefox.com or download an earlier version of Internet Explorer.

Displaying Weather and Stocks: We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to view the weather and stocks in Advantagenet. To do this though, you have to change your security settings in Internet Explorer. Please use the following directions to view this information:

  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Select Tools from the options bar
  • Select Internet options
  • Select the Security tab
  • Select Custom Level
  • In this window scroll down to the Miscellaneous (should be the 4th main topic)
  • Select Enable under the Access Data Source Across Domains topic (1st sub topic)
  • Select Ok in the Custom Level window
  • Select OK in the Internet Options window

Bill Pay

Enroll suffixes: If you are enrolled in Bill Pay, the system will state that there are no suffixes eligible for enrollment in the Enroll Suffixes box. If you click on the Pay Bills tab, your Bill Pay should pop up in a new window.

Turn off pop-up blocker: If the members have their pop up blocker turned on, check free window will not come up. They need to set it to pop-ups from our site.

There are several different Browser Pop-up Blockers and Toolbar pop-up blockers. We have listed the most popular ones below along with a link to directions on how to turn them off or add Allowed sites.(We suggest adding members.1stadvantage.org as an allowed site.)

Pop-Up Window Blocker Guidelines

The document also includes steps for disabling Browser toolbars.

Online Payment View: Now you are able to see what bills have been paid and to which account in your account history. Prior to the upgrade the account history would show Web Company (online Pmt) only, now when bills are withdrawn members will see Payment to: Company Account. This will make balancing your checkbook easier to follow in your account.

Viewing Previous Payments: Members are unable to view previous paid bills in the new Bill Pay however, you may view these bills in your account history or statement.
