60 has never looked better!  This year marks a special turning point in 1st Advantage’s history.  On September 20, 2011, we marked our 60th Anniversary and we couldn’t be more proud.  Our membership is growing, our performance is solid and we are still able to provide members with the best products and services around.

In honor of our 60th Anniversary, 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union presented six non-profit organizations with checks worth a sum total of $60,000.  A heartwarming ceremony was held on October 27 at the Kiln Creek branch.

1st Advantage’s 4th annual 1st A.I.D.E. Day was a huge success! Each year, 1A colleagues are given the opportunity to spend Columbus Day assisting local non-profit organizations.  This annual tradition is now known as 1st A.I.D.E. Day.  In honor of 1st A.I.D.E. Day 2011, we worked with three deserving organizations who offer incredible support in our local area: Operation Homefront Hampton Roads, The Foodbank of the Virginia Peninsula and Relay for Life.

1st Advantage Federal Credit Union’s Denbigh branch has been awarded the 2010 Green Award by the Newport News Green Foundation.  The award was given on behalf of the branch’s effort to enhance the quality of life and beauty of the City of Newport News.
