In honor of our 60th Anniversary, 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union presented six non-profit organizations with checks worth a sum total of $60,000. A heartwarming ceremony was held on October 27th, 2011 at the Kiln Creek branch.
Checks were presented to the following organizations: Operation Homefront Hampton Roads in the amount of $9,200; Habitat for Humanity in the amount of $9,200; Relay for Life in the amount of $9,200; Boys and Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula in the amount of $9,800; The Foodbank of the Virginia Peninsula in the amount of $10,400 and Richmond Fisher House in the amount of $12,200.
Representatives from each organization attended the ceremony to accept the checks. Each person expressed their genuine appreciation to 1st Advantage and said the donation will truly have a profound impact on the community.
