The Board of Directors of 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union have announced a payment of nearly $500,000 in the form of a Special Anniversary Bonus* to its members on January 31, 2012.
While many big banks are raising fees, eliminating free checking and charging for debit card usage, 1A is doing just the opposite – we are giving money back to our members.
To celebrate our 60th Anniversary and the success of the credit union in 2011, the Board of Directors of 1st Advantage have authorized a Member Anniversary Bonus Dividend with nearly $500,000 given directly to eligible members.
As a credit union, 1st Advantage has no stockholders involved in our decisions. Instead, we are owned by our members and operate under the leadership of a volunteer Board of Directors.
The Bonus Dividend would not have been possible without the support of active members who trusted 1st Advantage with their loan and deposit relationships.
Larry Smail, 1A Chairman of the Board of Directors
The Member Anniversary Bonus payout to members is calculated based upon the member’s average 2011 deposit and loan balances for the year. Member accounts had to be in good standing as of the time of the bonus to receive the special funds. In total, more than 32,000 members received the bonus.
Our continued strength in a time of economic uncertainty would not be possible without the loyalty of our members. We look forward to fulfilling our goal to be the most trusted provider of financial services in the community.
Paul Muse, President and CEO of 1st Advantage
The Member Anniversary Bonus was deposited into qualifying members’ savings (share) accounts on Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Please Contact Us if you have any questions about this special 60th Anniversary Member Bonus.
*To be eligible for the special Anniversary Bonus, a member must be in good standing both throughout 2011 and at the payment date. The size of the bonus varied by member based on their average deposit and loan balances in 2011. The more the member used the credit union, the greater the bonus.
