WHAT HAPPENS DURING THIS TRANSITION DOWNTIME?
Your account data will be securely and safely moved to 1st Advantage during this time. Beginning April 1, you will have access to 14 branch locations, a new online and mobile banking platform, new debit cards, and a wider array of products and services.

WHEN WILL THE TRANSITION TAKE PLACE?
The transition will take place March 31 at 12 p.m. until April 1 at 9 a.m. The Riverside branch will reopen, and account access will be restored on April 1 at 9 a.m.

WHAT WILL BE UNAVAILABLE DURING THE TRANSITION?

 

  • The Riverside branch will close on March 31 at 12 p.m. and will reopen on April 1 at 9 a.m.
  • RHSECU Home Banking and account information will be unavailable from March 31 at 12 p.m. until April 1 at 9 a.m.
  • Debit Card usage will have limited availability from March 31 at 12 p.m. until April 1 at 9 a.m. Please plan ahead and withdraw cash for any planned spending.
  • The online loan application will be unavailable beginning March 26. If you have a lending need during this transition, please call or visit the RHSECU branch.
  • RHSECU Home Banking and Mobile Banking will be unavailable on March 31 at 12 p.m. You can then enroll and access the 1st Advantage Online and Mobile Banking systems on April 1 at 9 a.m. You will need to enroll as a new member and will need your member number, social security number, email address, and phone number.
Yes, all cardholders will receive new 1st Advantage debit card mid-March. Please read the activation instructions carefully as you will continue to use your RHSECU card(s) through March 31 and begin using your 1st Advantage card(s) on April 1.
Yes, your new 1st Advantage routing number will be 251480563. Pre-authorized transactions that are currently set up with RHSECU routing and account numbers will continue to work until June 1. Please use this transition time to update all pre-authorized deposits and withdrawals with the new account information.

Your 1st Advantage member number is used as a unique identifier within our systems and needed to enroll in Online and Mobile Banking. This number will be 10-digits in length and starts with a 10 and then your existing RHSECU account number. If your RHSECU account number is less than 8 digits, you will have leading zeros before your RHSECU account number.

The good news is you do not need to remember these numbers! When you visit any of our branches or call our contact center, we are able to easily locate all accounts you are connected to by looking up your name, phone number, or your social security number.

Yes, there will be slight changes to your account numbers as part of the conversion. The new format for account numbers retains your original account number for familiarity, in most cases preceded by a prefix and followed by the original account suffix number.To view your new account number(s), log into Online Banking on or after April 1 and select an
account and then select the Account Information icon. We can identify them for you as well at any 1st Advantage branch or by calling 800-359-7650 or 757-877-2444.
We’ve created examples using account number 123456 to help you visualize the changes. In addition to account number, you will be able to give your accounts nicknames in Online Banking and these nicknames can be used over the phone and in a branch to identify them. Below are a few examples of how your account numbers will change:
Pre-authorized transactions that are currently set up with RHSECU routing and account numbers will continue to work until June 1. Please use this transition time to update all pre-authorized deposits and withdrawals with the new routing and account information.
If you are already a 1st Advantage member prior to the merger, your RHSECU accounts will be added under your existing 1st Advantage member number.
The rates on existing fixed-rate loans will remain the same until the end of their respective terms. Deposit rates will adjust normally due to market conditions. Please review our Rate and Fee Schedule for deposit rates.
Yes! We are excited to announce this will result in an expanded branch network of 13 additional 1st Advantage locations, including locations in Newport News, Williamsburg, Hampton, Yorktown, Gloucester, Virginia Beach and Richmond. Beginning April 1, you will be able to utilize these branches for your banking needs. See enclosed branch list for full details on locations and hours. Additionally, you also now have access to the CO-OP Shared Branch network that brings together credit unions throughout the country with 5,000+ locations to serve members.

Yes, but not until early May. The new branch will remain on the Riverside Regional Medical Center Campus and will be located in the Tower lower lobby next to the Uniform Shop.
No, the Riverside branch hours will remain the same at this time with the exception of Friday, April 2 when the branch will open at 9 a.m.
Yes, RHSECU members will have an all-new digital banking experience. On April 1 you will be able to enroll as a new user in the 1st Advantage Online Banking platform, 1stAdvantage.org/OLB. You will need your member number to enroll. Once enrolled, your user ID and password will be the same for the Mobile Banking App. As a reminder, access to the RHSECU Home Banking will be turned off on March 31 at 12 p.m.
Yes, you will need to download the 1st Advantage Mobile Banking app by simply searching for “1A Mobile” in your phone’s app/play store. Download the app at any time and you can then enroll as a new user and begin using it on April 1. You will need your member number to enroll. Once enrolled, your user ID and password are the same for Online Banking. As a reminder, access to the RHSECU Mobile Banking app will
be turned off on March 31 at 12 p.m.
No, they are the same. Once you enroll in one and set up your account, you will be able to use the same credentials to log into the other.
No, your transaction history will not carry over. You will need to download and save any account history you would like to have a record of.
No, you will need to download and save your historic eStatements.
No, your eStatement enrollment will carry over to the new systems. You will be able to access eStatements through Online or Mobile Banking.
Joint account owners will enroll as a new user and have their own username and password. They will be able to use this username and password for Online Banking and Mobile banking. Bill Pay can be accessed once enrolled in Online or Mobile Banking. To begin the enrollment process, the joint account holders will need their member number and then follow the prompts. Joint account holders can call 800-359-7650 or 757-877-2444 to obtain their member number.
