Directors' Scholarship

1st Advantage will be awarding four $3,000 scholarships at our Annual Meeting in May. These scholarships are open to dependents of 1st Advantage members who are high school seniors entering an accredited college or university, or who will be attending a two-year vocational or training school on a full-time basis.

The Leigh Ann Graham Scholarship

Presented by the Tidewater Chapter of the Virginia Credit Union League (of which 1st Advantage is a member), the annual Leigh Ann Graham Scholarship committee issues several awards of $500 or more to graduating high school seniors who are members of a chapter credit union. The deadline for application submission is April 19, 2022. Scholarships are awarded at the May Chapter meeting.

This scholarship is named after Leigh Ann Graham who was a dedicated credit union volunteer and editor of the Virginia Credit Union League’s flagship publication, The Virginian, which he viewed as a vehicle to promote the credit union principles of self-help and volunteerism.
