The 1st Advantage Foundation’s mission is to fulfill the unmet needs in all branches of our local military community. The Foundation was formed to honor our credit union roots in Fort Eustis, Virginia, and supplement the numerous community efforts 1st Advantage takes on each year.

Foundation Giving Tree

The 1st Advantage Foundation is committed to giving back to our local military community by supporting E1-E6 service members and their families. You can help by making a donation online or by participating in our Giving Tree.

Here’s how the Giving Tree works:

Throughout the month of December, visit one of our branches with a Giving Tree: Kiln Creek, Ft. Eustis, Denbigh, Williamsburg Commons, Grafton, Coliseum and Mercury.
Take a star from the tree and purchase the item on the back of the star.
Bring the unwrapped item you purchased to the branch and place it under the tree.

Requested items:

New wooden alphabet blocks
Aquaphor
New onesies (sizes 0-3 months-24 months)
New board books
New picture books
Unopened packages of size 1 diapers
Unopened packages of size 4 diapers
Unopened package of size 2T-3T Pull-Ups

Cash donations are welcome, just see a branch teller. Even if the branch you visit doesn’t have a Giving Tree, they’ll still accept donations. See all branch locations here.

This volunteer Board focuses on long term goals for fundraising and giving that is made possible by generous gifts from donors. They look for ways to tie financial education to projects that meet the needs of our local military.
