To open a business checking account for a Partnership, you will need to complete a Business Membership Application and Agreement and provide an EIN and minutes from the last meeting on association letterhead. You will also need an active registration with the State Corporation Commission. All majority business owners and authorized signers should be present at account opening.
To open a business checking account for an Unincorporated Association, you will need to complete a Business Membership Application and Agreement and provide an EIN, minutes from the last meeting on association letterhead, and the NAICS code related to your business.  You will also need an active registration with the State Corporation Commission. All majority business owners and authorized signers should be present at account opening.
To open a business checking account for a Corporation, you will need to complete a Business Membership Application and Agreement and provide an EIN, Articles of Incorporation, and the NAICS code related to your business. You will also need an active registration with the State Corporation Commission. If a non-profit, a 501-C filing is also needed. All majority business owners and authorized signers should be present at account opening.
To open a business checking account for a Limited Liability Company, you will need to complete a Business Membership Application and Agreement and provide an EIN, Articles of Organization, and the NAICS code related to your business. You will also need an active registration with the State Corporation Commission. All majority business owners and authorized signers should be present at account opening.
To open a business checking account for a Sole Proprietorship, you will need to complete a Business Membership Application and Agreement and provide an SSN or EIN, a Business License with the business and owner’s name, and the NAICS code related to your business. You will also need an active registration with the State Corporation Commission. All majority business owners and authorized signers should be present at account opening.

Checking

Yes, a cashier’s check is $5.00 per item and a money order is $3.00 per item. You can view a list of all of our fees on our Rate and Fee Schedule.
You can order checks within Online Banking, in branch, or by calling our eBranch Call Center at 800-359-7650 or 757-877-2444. To order via Online Banking, follow the below steps: 1. Login to your Online Banking account 2. Select which account you would like to order checks for (Checking, Money Market, etc.) by clicking on the name of the account 3. Click on the More Actions icon in the Account Details menu 4. Select Order checks If you are ordering checks from another company, please use the information below: Address: 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union P.O. Box 2116 Newport News, Virginia 23609 www.1stAdvantage.org Routing Number: 251480563 Account Number – your checking account number is different from your member number. Do not use your member number. You can view your checking account number by logging into Online Banking, clicking on your checking account, and then clicking Account Information from the Account Details menu.

Transfers

External Transfers are an easy way for you to transfer money between other financial institutions and your 1st Advantage accounts within Online Banking and Mobile Banking. This option is found under the Transfer section in both Online Banking and Mobile Banking.
